WM Review on Kokx News with Radical Fidelity – 'The Fr de Blignières Proposal'

We discussed Fr de Blignières’ call for a ‘traditionalist ordinariate’ with Stephen Kokx and Riaan from Radical Fidelity.
(WM Round-Up) – On Wednesday 7 May 2025, I appeared on Kokx News’s Church and State programme with Stephen Kokx and Riaan from Radical Fidelity.
In case it isn’t obvious, I’m the logo in the middle. The gentleman on the right is Riaan.
The conversation focused on Fr Louis-Marie de Blignières’ proposal for a kind of “traditionalist ordinariate,” and used the articles on this topic published at The WM Review and Radical Fidelity as the springboards for further discussion.
Topics included:
Fr de Blignières’ history in “the traditionalist movement” – including the whitewashing of his extended period as a “sedeprivationist”
The use of language like “vetus ordo,” along with references to preferring or being attached to the traditional Roman liturgy, and men such as Cardinal Burke who use this language
The question that none of these men want to answer – or even acknowledge as a question
The unity of the Church – what it does and does not mean
The adoption of a false, Anglican ecclesiology by many would-be “TLM Catholics” – and the grave implications this has for both the orthodoxy of those who adopt it, and the organisation which it describes
The implications for Catholics today.
It was a good discussion, and I hope readers of The WM Review enjoy it – and give Kokx News and Radical Fidelity a follow.

P.S.: Anthony Stine also picked up on our article on the topic and discussed it in his video.
One observation: Dr Stine suggests that the article warns that Fr de Blignières’ proposal will lead to an Anglicanised ecclesiology in the Church. In fact, the article explains how his proposal reveals the already existing Anglicanised ecclesiology in the Conciliar/Synodal milieu.
As it is already here, it cannot be prevented – and the traditionalist ordinariate will not really make it worse. Nor can it be reversed, because it is – in a certain sense – an accurate description of the Conciliar/Synodal Church.
The key issue is understanding the implications of this faulty ecclesiology – both for those who embrace it, and for the body which it describes.

I really wanted you to correct Riaan after he started talking about parts of the Church fighting eachother immediately after you had talked about the supernatural nature of the Church and how so many are viewing this crisis through a naturalistic lens.
