Yes, the feast was established by Msgr Bugnini who controlled the Papacy of Pius XII and forced him to sign several decrees without giving the Pope the time to read them! (sarcasm, just in case).
Very good post. St. Joseph is not finished yet by any means. I found footnote #3 interesting. I think there is a reason our Saint is not in the Canon of the Mass. perhaps he does not need to be.
