Sometimes we learn the hard way.

Hoping that many more traditionalists will see the light and leave the synodal abomination for the Faith of our Fathers.

Deo gratias!

They are very careful not to use the words "Sedevacantism". I hope they are there yet. May God bless them

A friend in the community has told me they have taken a sedeprivationist position, not sedevacantist

Faithful Sinner's avatar

I will take what I can get. That's good enough, as long as they celebrate Mass, non Una Cum.

Deo gratias

They've previously held that position, but it is implied if they state that it isn't the Catholic Church.

I am so happy for them; congratulations Transalpine Redemptorists!!!

Now they have to get their priests re-ordained.

Martin Fegan's avatar

Yes.. That's the blessing the faithful can truly benefit from knowing their priests are truly priests.

I don't know whether it's ironic or fitting that the diocese that is expelling them is called Christchurch. Perhaps a bit of both.

I pray that their list of denunciations will grow to include all the documents of the Robber Council of Vatican II, as their current list of denunciations are all merely the fruit of that poisonous tree.

I found it quite interesting that the Vatican referred to the Latin Mass communities as the “Ecclesia Dei”

Sean Johnson's avatar

The words come from JPII’s “Ecclesia Dei Adflicta,” which declared +Lefebvre, +de Mayer, and the four consecrated bishops excommunicated.

90 days later, the FSSP was born (the fastest a community had ever been approved in Church history), to act as a parasitical competitor, and keep trad-leaning Catholics corralled within conciliar pastures.

Live Life Not Behind Glass's avatar

I know but, still, called the latin mass groups the “Ecclesia Dei”

Does this make them the newest Sede community?

Statesments like this seem to necessitate a return to at least the Society position, if not further. I cannot comprehend why they reconciled in 2012, did they thing Benedict was actually some traditionalist pope or were they just tired if the fight?

S.D. Wright's avatar

I'm not sure I've seen a statement like this from the Society in quite a while.

S.D. Wright's avatar

Also our mistake. It was 2008. In 2012 they received canonical recognition.

Would that every former Ecclesia Dei group, convent, monastery, priest, and bishop declare the same truths so clearly!

I am absolutely *thrilled* with this! Finally! Someone with authority is standing up to defend Tradition. May more prelates and priests find the courage to do the same.

Laudetur Iesus Christus! Semper laudetur!

... and they esperiment the REFORMED Roman Catholic Church from inside.

The conciliar AGGIORNAMENTO went so far that now they feel Lost.

Viva Maria Immacolate.
