Fr Réginald Garrigou-Lagrange OP provides a simple and straightforward account – based on authority and argumentation – why Our Lady is rightly called the 'mediatrix of all graces.'
When in times like we are now living in, Catholic teachings are being attacked and denied not only by those open and declared enemies of our faith, but also by men who's position and authority they nominally hold in the hierarchy of the Church, it is necessary then to publicly proclaim the true doctrine of the Church, as elucidated by her faithful Doctors and Popes; such as above, Fr. Garigou La Grange.
Thank you very much for these timely posts on our Lady's role in redemption. I have had a profound devotion the Mother of us all, but this was more intuitive than dogmatically informed.
I have found in on line run-ins with Protestants who blaspheme the Virgin, that presenting a strong case for the Incarnation implies a high status for Mary as mother of God. That the Protestant view implies a low character for God, in that she becomes a mere utility, used and then discarded. The immaculate conception, and perpetual virginity are implied in the Incarnation. I find this line of reasoning stops even the most virulent ant-Marian low Prots. What can they say, "No God is just such a user".
I find that Novus Ordo Catholics have immediately started reasoning like Protestants since that wretched document came out. All the while accusing us of being Protestants ! it is quite crazy making. I am employing the same reasoning on them; our Lady's mediation of all graces, her role as Co-redemptrix, are implied in her fiat, combined with the Goodness of God. She is already materially these things through the Incarnation, how would she not be these things metaphysically as well.

That's right. And, no doubt, this hoo-hah will lead to a greater devotion to Our Lady under those titles.
This great apostasy is winnowing the wheat from the chaff.
