I think a lot of Catholics who hold the sedevacantist position are pointing to the conciliar sect and saying “that’s not the Church” forgetting that she is obscured by the conciliar sect but hasn’t been entirely consumed by it, nor could this ever be the case. Rather than saying “that’s not the Church” we perhaps need to say “they’re not the Church” referring to specific visible groups of men and their beliefs, recognising that the Church though obscured is still there, though we know where not to find it.

Can I suggest renaming this under-appreciated article “A letter to confused Catholics: A Note for Confused Catholics – Apologetics and Dogmatic Theology and how they apply to the present crisis in the Church.
